Elaine Fehseke Gray graduated from Vanderbilt University, Magna Cum Laude, after three years of on-campus study and one semester of study abroad. After graduating, she traveled until beginning law school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Having not satisfied her urge to travel, she left law school on a leave of absence which allowed her to return in good standing and with the “full-ride” scholarship she was granted prior to beginning. After more travel, Elaine decided to finish law school in Sacramento, California at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
There, Elaine was admitted to the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Honor Society. Today Elaine is licensed to practice law in Iowa and in California, has served as the president of the Iowa Association for Justice, formerly known as the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association and has received Fort Madison’s Citizen of the Year award for her work outside of her law firm. She and her husband Brad have three children and they continue to love to travel anywhere with outdoor activities, with hunting and fishing topping their travel “To Do” list.
